5-Day Garden Route Tour with Addo Elephant National Park from Cape Town, South Africa

(calm music) (upbeat music) (screaming) - The Garden Route in South Africa is packed with once in a lifetime experiences. From game drives to climbing through caves to surf lessons to elephants, you just couldn't ask for a better way to experience South Africa. - This is a opportunity to travel through some of the most beautiful landscapes in South Africa, having a great adventure, and meeting new people. - Your journey starts with a five hour trip along the coast to Wilderness National Park. We're gonna take to the water on a two hour canoe ride with a professional guide. (cheering) (laughing) - This whole really made my trip to South Africa something special.

I had such an amazing time. Even from the first day. The canoeing was absolutely amazing, and then it just got better and better. - Then it's a 30 minute drive to your hotel for the night. Take the evening to rest and enjoy the ambiance of a South African coast. It's day two. Today is gonna be full of adventure, but we've made our first stop just to take in the beautiful views.

(gasps) So far the garden route does not disappoint. Next stop on the tour, the world's highest bridge bungee jump. I'm with Tony. He's been on our tour. He's brave enough to actually jump off the bridge. How do you feel? - Yeah I'm startin' to get a little bit nervous now that we're actually here. - If you're gonna bungee jump, this is the place to do it because it's one of the highest jumps in the world, and you get some major bragging rights. (upbeat music) We've just arrived at our next stop, Tsitsikamma National Park where you can take a dip in the sea and even take a hike to the suspension bridge. Today is non stop adventure. We're at our next stop, zip lining. Alright, here goes! (cheering) (calming music) After zip lining, drive to world famous surfing spot Jeffreys Bay for the night. (calming music) It's day three, and I'm really excited. We're about to tour Addo Elephant National Park, which is home to the largest population of elephants in the world.

There's a whole family and they are absolutely beautiful. I'm choosing to take a surf lesson in one of the world's most famous surf spots. (cheering) - You did it! - Day four, we've just arrived at our first stop, an ostrich farm. So if you want, you actually get a chance to feed the ostriches. (laughing) For our next stop, we're gonna tour the Cango Caves. Located in a limestone ridge, the Cango Caves have over two and a half miles of dripstone caverns. Good morning, it's a new day. We're off to our next activity. We're doing a meet and greet with three gorgeous elephants. Hi. You're so sweet. Oh I love you too. (elephant moans) (laughing) This might be the best day of my life. These rangers are like family to the elephants. They've raised them since they were babies for the last 16 years. They are so well loved and cared for.

The elephants are just so affectionate. We're headed back to the bush for a game drive where we're hoping to see rhinos, hippos, antelope, and maybe a giraffe. We are probably 20 feet from this giraffe. We're so close. The Garden Route in South Africa is the road trip of a lifetime. (cheering) (upbeat music).

AFRICA BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN FASHION: From Textile to Fashion

https://www.youtube.com/embed/z0E_h4poeS4

Since the beginning of human civilization, clothing and dress have been an essential part of daily life. Whether it is used to reverse social stratification or promote a cultural legacy, it has played an important role in revolutionizing societies. The ability of individuals to be attractive and well-organized has also played an important role in cultural appropriation and acceptance. Market trends are constantly changing due to the intense dynamism and drive for innovation and creativity that exists within the business. Africa is a fashion brand that is still evolving and gradually expanding its global influence. Many African designers have begun to participate in international fashion shows, and their abilities, creativity, and new designs are being praised all over the world for their efforts. East Africa offers many options for apparel manufacturers and retailers looking to expand their operations. It has a population of 470 million individuals, of which more than 22% live in urban areas. According to the Institute of Pensions and Investments, the East African Community (EAC) is currently experiencing annual growth of 5.5 percent, making it the fastest growing region globally.

Fashion manufacturing industries account for the lion's share of the fashion manufacturing sectors in East Africa, with Kenya accounting for more than 40% of the total value of exports. Tanzania, 28 percent, Uganda, 10 percent, and Rwanda, among other countries making contributions, 6 percent. Although the two countries together account for 78 percent of the garment industry in East Africa, an increase in production and exports is required for this particular sector to flourish. For the young Africans of today and tomorrow, the fashion sector can provide stable employment opportunities. The ITC's Ethical Fashion Initiative, AFI's Fastrack and NextGen programmes, and the LFDW Fashion Focus are among the NGOs and fashion organizations already creating jobs across the continent.

As a result of its membership in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). The new East African Community free trade area with the Southern African Development Community (SADC). and members of the East African Community (EAC) who also signed to become associate members of COMESA. EAC has gained a competitive advantage. The trend of the EAC shows that the region stands out in terms of production of fashion goods and value of exports, with the latter expected to grow by 12 percent between 2023 and 2028 .

As a result, the continent became interested in fashion. East Africa is at the top of the heap when it comes to African fashion. In the whole East Africa region, the thriving garment industry is expanding rapidly. It provides a great source of employment and a new source of income for individuals. Manufacturers, distributors and retailers have great prospects in East Africa. It is understood that further study is required for this industry to thrive and flourish to its fullest potential. Which in turn may lead to the expected increase in jobs for this sector in East Africa . It should not be overlooked that other risks should be considered, equally important, because concerns may be caused by poor working conditions or unethical working methods.

pexels-photo-1625775.jpeg?auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb&h=650&w=940

While most of the Tanzanian and Kenyan exports are fabrics and other raw materials, there is a growing reputation for garments from both countries, particularly in the social and leisure scenes on the international stage. Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Zara are some of the most popular and talked-about fashion brands in Africa, especially among celebrities and socialites who use social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook to promote their brands and products. In addition, it is necessary to mention that many African designers are developing their labels for multinational fashion companies. Kenza Malema (or Kenzo Homme), Christina Iguita, Stella Mwangi, and Yves Saint Laurent are a few of the designers who have made a name for themselves. According to experts, the East African Community, with the support of its member states Kenya and Tanzania, has the potential to become the next fashion hotspot in Africa. Consumer trends, creative skills, and logistical capabilities are some of the creative commonalities between the two. According to Fashion United, the fashion industry employs 3.5 million people worldwide. Its market capitalization is $3 trillion. That is, it is equal to 2% of the world's GDP. However, there are no official estimates available for the African fashion sector.

This is because it has not historically been considered a financially profitable industry. On the other hand, there has been increasing recognition of its unrealized potential for job generation and economic development in recent years. Presently, there are few African universities that are recognized for awarding credible master’s degrees in fashion and design. With the shifting view of the fashion industry within the continent itself , more and more fashion courses are being offered to help emerging designers in the region. Fashion production factory. Africa's fashion industry is now worth $31 billion, making it a prominent destination for buying clothes and new competition for apparel manufacturers. Owning a garment manufacturing plant in Africa will entail moving to Africa or going back and forth frequently. Therefore, this form of business must be compatible with the goal and goals of life. The impact of this business will be felt in the areas where one will be able to hire local dressmakers, tailors and other workers, thus creating job opportunities. The manufacture of textiles, handicrafts and clothing is the second largest industry in the developing world after agriculture.

Which led to job creation. fashion label. Creating your own fashion label and brand made in Africa using African materials and production methods is a great idea. According to the African Development Bank's Fashionomics Africa initiative, the fashion business on the continent is worth $31 billion. International demand for African designs is increasing. As a result, there is an increase in curated platforms for customers to browse authentic African pieces on the market. Developing a strong African economy requires more than just philanthropy, investment and trade. Africa's textile industry has the potential to generate $20 billion in revenue over the next few years. Establishing a Made in Africa fashion brand may contribute to this goal by providing business insight and understanding of this emerging market. Fashion business centers. The Assembly Hub is an excellent example of a platform that helps create fashion and creative talent in Africa. One that encourages entrepreneurs and companies to innovate the face of fashion in a rapidly changing market by using specific tools and opportunities to develop creative professionals .

Entrepreneurship is on the rise around the world, but it is especially prevalent in Africa. It is essential to economic progress and helps transform African economies. Young Africans enjoy an entrepreneurial culture, which, when combined with invention and creativity, provides a contemporary answer that helps the continent tackle some of its most pressing problems. The implication of this business concept is that business centers are community platforms that provide members with business tools that can help them set up and run their businesses. These programs often include accelerator programs that take members from inception to the growth stage of their business. What do you think of our video? Let us know in the comments section below. restaurant that I got this food from   um I believe it's called YOLO pot Joe love  hot that's the restaurant name but correct   me if I'm wrong is Fufu the same as pounded  yams or is Fufu just the name of different   swallows like pounding yam EBA I believe  that's how you pronounce it and Amala amale mmm yummy you know he don't know which one he wants  more the chicken or the plantain he's looking like   Eli's now 17 months y'all well he'll be 17 months  on the 31st of this month those who follow me on   Instagram probably already seen him chatting  a lot I started him on also like a one-year   um learning curriculum it's not as strict  it's just basically learning and playing   sure throughout the day I would  teach him something and then well   make sure he get it for the  whole week type stuff like if I'm   doing the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star song that's  what we were seeing for the week and he'll get it   if I'm learning to if I'm teaching him the color  yellow then he'll be like okay that's what he'll   learn for the week that color or shape or an  animal and so far he's been doing good right I really wish this wasn't as spicy because it's  like spinach and he would have liked it more chew that chicken chew you think this is funny you're like girl stop that  smacking that's I just copying you oh he's so cute thank you you try to say you  want me can you pass it to Mommy okay ah free Mommy ah thank you mmm it's good you gotta be careful he just stuffed this whole  plantain in his mouth he's still eating y'all   so basically I'm almost about finished myself  because like I told y'all you know I I haven't   been able to eat as much anymore like I used  to even though I felt like I ate a lot here   you know this this this right here is gone like  well half of it is gone and then we got half of   the jollof rice though a Goosey is all complete uh  almost done basically we just got some meats here   um the meat this one here the meat is not as  tender so I'm not really picking on the meat but   this was good that Gucci was good  even though the meat was not as tender   um the effort was good the fish is over honestly  the fish food kind of tastes overpowered by the   effort so it just really tastes like  this part so I don't really taste the   the fish itself but it's good I wanted to  get a puff puff but the restaurant didn't   have it I wanted to try their meat patties  uh the restaurant didn't have it um there   was some other things I wanted to try so badly  but they didn't have it where's your cup did you   drop your cup I told you not to touch it yeah  I've been having Eli drink from a cup y'all so   here he did that's why he wants it in there  don't spill it be very careful okay yeah drink it   duel yeah he did it for you guys good job  you're a big boy how old are you yeah you won really I don't know if y'all heard  him say it how old are you Eli I just can't I am so blessed y'all I just can't Eli yeah  you're showing off why are you showing off he's just so intelligent y'all I am definitely  proud of you papa yeah when you get older you   see this video You're Gonna See mommy's very  proud of you mommy love Mommy and Daddy and   your siblings love you very very much you want  to call it at the end of the video you all done   all done all right guys so we're  gonna end this video right here   hope you guys enjoyed Eli trying in  this Nigerian African food up what what you're not finished he's not done y'all  but we're gonna end it here anyways because   I feel like this was super long but anyways  y'all
