hello everyone and welcome to my channel if you're new to my channel don't forget to subscribe to this channel like this video and share with your friends and family today i'm going to be showing you uh my african shop grocery haul as someone who believes that the best way to retain your culture while living in a foreign place is through food especially when you have children i like to visit my local african shop quite frequently to keep the culture alive through cooking today i'm going to share with you the price of this grocery haul and this was just a quick mid-month grocery haul so sometimes i usually buy more than this so i've just got a few things like palm oil this palm oil costs about 15 pounds 99 which is one liter i just like to chip in that the total cost of this whole was seven was um 105 pounds 50p i was about to say it's an era and the narrow equivalent is about 71 212 naira let me know in the comments section what the cost of this grocery will be where you live so this is ground rice and this ground rice cost about 2 pounds 99 plantains cost about 3 4 pounds so three plantains for one pound and the smoke turkey cost about 16.99 the pounder yam is 1.8 kg and that cost me about 10 pounds the bell pepper cost about 40p each and i got 20 so that's eight pounds the okra cost about five pounds and the scotch bonnet you can see in the corner over there was about five pound sixty for the lot so that's okra i've already said the price for that my kids like across so i like to buy aquarium this awkward pretty fresh so that's really good so the red bell pepper and the green bell pepper cost about the same thing so it's 40p each and for about 20 that's about 8 pounds so if you can do the confession and let me know how much that will be ugu costs 1.99 each and this millow cost me about five pounds 99 each i had milo growing up so i just like my kids to have it occasionally but it's kind of expensive buying african food that pick milk is 8.99 is the big tub so that's okay but if you convert that an error that's pretty high and if you have to do these occasionally that's a bit that adds up stock fish about 3.99 for 100 grams i do like to use stock fish it flavors my soups really well google like i said before 199 pounds each and right now naira is 670 or 605 ground rice costs 299 and that pounder yum like i said before was 10 pounds what else have i not said i think i've said smoked turkey it smoked turkey was about 16.99 for the lot and that's the reset so that's what the total price is pounds and 50p and that's 71 212.
that granolt is is 4.99 for a bottle right so if there's anything i've missed out let me know in the comment section and i'll be happy to say the price to you me pie above four is a pound each i usually make my own meat pie but this one is actually really really good i'll leave the name the brand name in the comment section or in the description so this milo is made in nigeria and that pick milk is friesland so i really like it and i know it's really good and my kids love it and they store pretty well so you can have that your cupboard you don't have to put in the fridge this milk is 900 grams right i think that's about it thank you for watching let me know what the cost of these items will be where you leave and let's compare i do feel like it's a bit on the high side but it's a price we we have to give for trying to keep our culture alive in our family i do find that it's quite cheaper to eat english food or to eat the food the cultural food where you live but sometimes you just want your kids to get to know their culture and the easiest way to do that is through food would i be going back to shop in africa and shop of course i would because that's my culture and that's what i know how to do best thank you for watching drop a comment in the comment section and let me know what you think of this grocery haul do you think it's cheap do you think it's expensive do you think it's sustainable do you think we should just stick to the food of where we live or we should keep feeding our kids and our family meals from where we come from thank you don't forget to like this video drop a comment subscribe if you have if you haven't yet subscribed and watch my other videos thank you for watching watch to the end bye you
